Dutch Sinterklaas retains popularity despite racism claims
It is indeed the inherently Dutch culture of shameless hypocrisy that keeps this vile tradition alive. Even though it is obviously racist, the Dutch simply pretend as if it isn’t so. Even though it is degrading toward those of a darker race, they simply do not care about those feelings. The Dutch see this as their ‘tradition‘ and simply will not tolerate any criticism on the subject and are totally indifferent towards any opinion which deviates from their own. So is it only individual hypocrisy and pretentiousness to be blamed or is cultural ignorance the main culprit in this yearly Carnival of racial degradation. Who knows; and in Holland ‘Who gives a flying fuck!’
